After almost a decade of steadily releasing acoustic pop songs, Josh Tobias found himself at a crossroad.
“I just wasn’t believing what I was singing” says the 33 year old songwriter. In the midst of this existential rut Josh decided to walk his dog through a local park, when all of a sudden the lyrics to “Better By Now” just started flowing.
After a few snippets caught traction on TikTok, Josh decided to release a stripped down, acoustic version of the song. Half a million streams and a major Netflix placement later, Josh found himself with a new sound and a new audience.
Since then, Josh has honed this acoustic country folk sound with releases “Just a Man” and “Paid For My Sins”. “I realized all I needed was a guitar and my voice to say what I wanted to say” says Josh.
With one acoustic album already under his belt (“Lonesome Road” released in January 2024), Josh Tobias has no plans of slowing down.
